Follow your Bliss

“My bliss is my Freed Painting.
“These past four years have brought me challenges and joy. There are times when I complete a painting and am not quite sure what I am looking at, because it is nothing I have seen before. I feel a sense of elation and enthusiasm to keep working and see what else comes…
“Throughout history paint has been at the service of the artist. Freed Painting is an attempt at turning things around and allowing paint the opportunity to assert its own identity. By taking paint off the canvas surface and projecting it out into three-dimensional space, a whole new world opens.
“When you find a new way of expressing yourself, it’s exciting. When you realize that your exploration is unveiling possibilities beyond your imagination, that sparks enthusiasm that motivates you to share what you have found with the world. This aspect of “possibility” is a core value of my work. The purpose of my work is to facilitate human spiritual evolution. It is my hope that when viewers see my Freed paintings they experience that essence of “possibility” and are inspired.” – Thomas Piekunka

This week’s Astro Outlook
Key Happenings
New Moon in Taurus 21:01 BST Saturday, 16 May
Taurus relates to security and this includes financial security. With Uranus only 6 degrees away in Gemini, expect the unexpected. Uranus will point to where we have not been true to our nature through emotional subterfuge. It is not our intention to become derailed, but worries about finances is a common reason we do. As best you can, put fear aside and look at the bigger picture.
Mercury enters Gemini and approaches Uranus. Mercury and Uranus are buddies. Think of Mercury as Uranus’s little brother who still has ants in his pants. Uranus patiently offers Mercury guidance and uses Mercury’s flexibility, humour, and explorer qualities to innovate and invent. That this is happening the day after the new moon is significant. Use the energy to recalibrate your goals and make new plans to achieve them. Keep it realistic.

Following your bliss is metaphor for a process that begins with a journey, a quest, to uncover what you find most fulfilling in your life: the quest for the Holy Grail, that which gives life meaning and purpose. My bliss is not your bliss; I have to discover my bliss on my own, by listening to myself, following clues dropped by the greater part of my being.
You enter the forest at the darkest point, where there is no path. Where there’s a way or path, it is someone else’s path; each human being is a unique phenomenon. The idea is to find your own pathway to bliss.
~ Joseph Campbell (1904–1987) influential American writer and professor of literature at Sarah Lawrence College, renowned for his pioneering work in comparative mythology and comparative religion. He is best known for his 1949 book, The Hero with a Thousand Faces, which introduced the concept of the monomyth (or the “hero’s journey”), a universal narrative pattern shared by myths and stories across different cultures. Campbell’s theories, which drew heavily from the psychological work of Carl Jung, posited that these mythic structures reflect fundamental human experiences and desires.
Dear friend and neighbour and fellow traveller;
I first became familiar with Joseph Campbell in the 80s from a PBS (Public Broadcasting System (USA)) television special hosted by an icon of “old school” journalism Bill Moyers. I had already met my guru and was seeking wise support wherever I could find it. Below are some wonderful passages from this series, “The Power of Myth”, highlighting his famous exhortation, “Follow your bliss.”
Joseph Campbell’s concept of “following your bliss” is centred on the idea that aligning with one’s deepest joys and passions reveals a unique life-path that was always waiting for you. Campbell distinguishes this from fleeting excitement, defining true bliss as a deep, life-filling sense of being that guides individuals toward their authentic potential. I often explain this to my clients as, “Enthusiasm, yes. Excitement, no.”
The Power of Myth
What you seek is waiting for you: If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.
Excitement is not your bliss: If your bliss is just your fun and your excitement, you’re on the wrong track… You need instruction. Know where your bliss is. And that involves coming down to a deep place in yourself.
The need to be vigilant: The way to find out about your happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you really are happy—not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what I call ‘following your bliss.’
Following your bliss is the most selfless thing you can do: Following your bliss is not self-indulgent, but vital; your whole physical system knows that this is the way to be alive in this world and the way to give to the world the very best that you have to offer. There IS a track just waiting for each of us and once on it, doors will open that were not open before and would not open for anyone else.
On Courage and Adventure: The heroic life is living the individual adventure. There is no security in following the call to adventure. Nothing is exciting if you know what the outcome is going to be.

May you become the best of friends with your bliss.

The Creative Process
Bringing Your Intention to Earth
Issue 18 Volume 9 04 May 2026

And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. – Genesis 1:26 (King James Bible)
Meanings behind the obvious
Excerpts from from an article by Rosie Lesso, MA Contemporary Art Theory
The most direct meaning in Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam is to capture God’s creation of human life, as described in the Book of Genesis (1:26) in the Christian Bible…
Michelangelo chose to illustrate this moment with complete clarity, painting God reaching out from above and almost touching Adam’s index finger with his own to create the first great spark of life. On the left, Adam is depicted lying on the ground, while God, surrounded by angels, reaches toward the first man with intent and determination.
Human Brain?
Many have looked into Michelangelo’s composition in more detail and found possible suggestions for further hidden meanings. One argument made convincingly by MD Frank Lynn Meshberger is that the shape of the drapery and angels surrounding God resembles the outline of a human brain—amazing, right?
Meshberger noted surprising correlations between Michelangelo’s design and the anatomy of a real brain, observing sulci in the inner and outer brain, the brain stem, the basilar artery, the pituitary gland, and the optic chiasm… Even more astonishingly, Meshberger notes how God reaches out from the more emotional side of the brain (the right hemisphere), the area that deals with creativity and imagination.
The Womb, Placenta, and the Role of the Divine Feminine
A 2013 study suggests that the shape God and the angels create resembles that of a womb and placenta, suggesting Adam was given birth to, rather than being created by God in thin air. The authors of the study have even compared the circle of angels in the background to the surface of the placenta and the line that unites God’s outstretched arm with that of Adam to an umbilical cord.
God’s arm also encircles that of a prominent female character, perhaps a mother counterpart to God’s father-like role. It is almost as if Michelangelo is telling us that he understands the importance of women in childbirth and creation. If this is true, it presents a fascinatingly complex argument for the equality of the sexes within the biblical story of creation and the vital role of women within it.
Adam’s Rib and Eve
At first glance, it may seem that there is no mention of Eve in Michelangelo’s fresco. However, in 2019, scientist Deivis de Campos noted that the left side of Adam’s torso contains an extra concealed rib. Michelangelo’s deep knowledge of human anatomy suggests that this was intentional and that it represents Eve.
Campos suggests that this extra rib inclusion was a way for Michelangelo to represent Adam and Eve being created side by side, which differs from the traditional Catholic Church teaching that Eve was created after Adam. There is significant evidence that Michelangelo radically disagreed with many Catholic traditions.

Everyone knows how creative the Scots are. They’re always sculpting, painting, singing songs, and writing plays. They invented television, the telephone, and deep-fried Mars bars. 😁
~ David Baillie (1977 — ) Scottish writer and artist best known for creating the Red Thorn comic series
Dear friend and neighbour and fellow traveller;
In astrology, the creative process is a multi-planetary dance that involves a path drawn from the Sun’s authenticity where the creative power is first sparked and given to Jupiter (creative power), then carried to Mars (will) and expressed through Venus (manifestation).
PART II: Jupiter’s Role
Jupiter’s role in the creative process is where most women struggle (for men it’s typically Venus). This is not a hard and fast rule, but one I have often seen through the years. For a woman, Jupiter represents the husband so any struggle in the creative process will likely show up in finding the right man for her and any struggle in finding such a man will be seen in her struggle to create the life she wants. (This is why I always recommend embracing your true nature life first – finding a mate is a consequence of living authentically).
We would be hard-pressed to find an act of creating more fundamental and significant than creating a life. Jupiter rules the second chakra, the chakra related to procreation and from this potential arises the possibility for an infinite number of possibilities.
God’s intention for you is encapsulated in the qualities of the Sun. Jupiter transfers this intention to the will, Mars. Mars represents the human capacity to move and act, to triumph over obstacles and to ensure victory through one-pointed determination and focus. However, if Jupiter is afflicted, the message gets diluted or modified. It can lead to suffering and even destruction.
In essence, Jupiter is the grace bestowing power of God. Your Jupiter is what you call good luck and good fortune. In reality, when your life unfolds effortlessly and miracles seem to follow you, your Jupiter is in alignment with your higher Self. This is an important point to understand, for if you also realise your life becomes a mess when you allow your Jupiter to become disconnected from your higher intention, you can bring yourself back in alignment.
How does our Jupiter become afflicted?
Jupiter is inwardly focused. In a sense, it has nothing directly to do with what happens on the outside. The reason good things do happen is because when we are aligned with our highest intention (Jupiter), it naturally spills over into the outer expression of our lives.
In the company of enlightened masters, what seem like miracles are simply the result of living free from the enslavement of thoughts. In such a state, a master, or guru, responds to whatever is happening with complete freedom. For such a one, there is no backstory, no agenda, no ‘have to’ or ‘should’.
Have you experienced such a state? I am sure you have. Indeed, the spiritual process by definition gradually shifts our perspective from I am someone to I am. Have you ever awakened one morning and in that in-between state, you had no past — no name, no family, no job, no-thing? You just are? If you are able to get past the initial shock and reflex to be someone, it’s a rather pleasant state to experience. No cares, no worries — just freedom. The whole Universe beckons.
Sadhguru often asks us to be responsible and explains that this does not mean we are shouldering everyone’s burdens; rather, in every moment of our existence, being ABLE to RESPOND is our inner state. We simply do what is needed when it is needed and what is needed is not determined through thinking, but by being.
During my early university days, I had a summer job in an auto parts store in a small town in Texas where I lived. One slow summer day, a salesman in his 40s came into the store to speak to the owner who had stepped out. He spent the wait telling me a little about his life. He was dressed in a suit and tie and seemed like the kind of fellow who was very content to live a very average life. In school, he probably made good grades, never got into trouble, and got along with everyone because he never took sides. His body looked to be like a ball of white dough and I imagine he never did more than mow the front yard — and probably with an electric mower.
As it turned out, my boss was not coming back that day, so the salesman got up to leave and stuck out his hand to say goodbye. At the time, I was 19 years old and captain of a canoe team headed to the Nationals. Being immersed in the world of athletes, I instinctively took his hand in a “bro grip” like you see athletes do on the telly. It was not my intention, of course, but his eyes lit up like alien spaceships and his face became as bright as the sun. In that small gesture, most assuredly one he had never been offered in his entire life, I validated his existence. In that one unrehearsed moment, he felt appreciated and loved. Likely a lifetime of being ‘tolerated’ in school, perhaps bullied, were washed away in that wonderfully spontaneous handshake.
I never forgot this moment and I share it here even after decades have passed. I always thank this fellow for what he offered me. It was I who felt blessed. Through his unfiltered reaction, I saw how when we embrace life without pretence, even the smallest gesture can open a human heart.
And this makes all the difference.

Astrology Monday
Taurus Sun:
Transformation through Friendship and Loyalty
20 April—21 May
The Sun in Taurus helps us align our identity with the power of transformation.
In Vedic astrology, the symbol for the nakshatra Krittika, the first constellation of the Moon in Taurus, is symbolised by the razor indicating the power of Taurus to transform through a cutting away of the illusion of materiality. It is the razor’s edge we traverse in Taurus. Ruled by Venus, the ruler of sensuality and external comforts and pleasures, we bring suffering upon us when we seek fulfilment through the senses. The senses allow us to enjoy the world, but fulfilment can only come through Jupiter, our inner guru, grace, and highest intention. Venus is an enemy to Jupiter and when we seek pleasure above what is beneficial, we “sell our soul to the devil”, so-to-speak, and lose the kingdom within. Sun in Aditya Mitra
Before the arrival of the Greeks, the ‘zodiac’ used in India was a 360 degree circle based upon the Sun’s movement (Adityas literally means sons of Aditi, the mother of all). The Aditya corresponding to Taurus is Mitra which relates to friendship, alliances, oaths, contracts, and harmony. Mitra is particularly associated with the life-giving rays of the morning sun symbolising the triumph of light over darkness, of wisdom over sensuality.People born with planets in Mitra, especially Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are loyal partners and friends and seek to make the world a secure and safe place for all.

This Week’s Focus
The Creative Process
…and why it matters

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1
The Creative Process
I’m past patiently waitin’. I’m passionately smashin’ every expectation. Every action’s an act of creation! ~ the character Alexander Hamilton from Hamilton: an American Musical (2015); lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda
What do we do with chaos (in our lives)? Creativity has an answer. We are told by those who have studied the processes of nature that creativity happens at the border between chaos and order. Chaos is a prelude to creativity. We need to learn, as every artist needs to learn, to live with chaos and indeed to dance with it as we listen to it and attempt some ordering. Artists wrestle with chaos, take it apart, deconstruct and reconstruct from it. Accept the challenge to convert chaos into some kind of order, respecting the timing of it all, not pushing beyond what is possible—combining holy patience with holy impatience–that is the role of the artist. It is each of our roles as we launch the twenty-first century because we are all called to be artists in our own way. We were all artists as children. We need to study the chaos around us in order to turn it into something beautiful. Something sustainable. Something that remains.
~ Matthew Fox (1940 ) American priest, theologian, and author of Where the Divine and the Human Meet
The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive… By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating. ~ Pearl S. Buck (1892 – 1973) American writer and humanitarian, and first American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature (1938)

This week’s Astro Outlook
Key Happenings
Mars Square Jupiter. Think of this aspect like two friends having a quarrel. It’s not going to get out of hand, but it may leave both in a bad mood. Mars shouts, “Go!” Jupiter asks, “Go where?”
Uranus enters Gemini (for 7 years): This points to technological breakthroughs in how we communicate with one another. A better breakthrough would be in learning to communicate with integrity and not as others expect us.
Next week: Mercury enters Taurus. Mercury likes visiting Taurus, ruled by Venus. Venus is diplomacy and Mercury the vehicle of good communication that makes it happen. Taurus is about safety and security; for breakthroughs to happen, these need to be addressed.
Full Moon Scorpio 1 May 17:23
What at first appears monstrous, becomes your ally
The Moon in Scorpio is generally intense because of the transformative nature of Scorpio, a sign related to karma, the shadow mind, creepy crawlies, and things that go bump in the night. Such things can play havoc on the Moon’s emotional sensibilities. The potential lies in exploring these areas consciously with the intention of peeking into the cellar of your mind. If you go blindly in, you may meet things you don’t like. Armed with the torch of knowledge, however, the shadow you thought was a ten-foot monster becomes a cute little ant. Spend this full Moon quietly exploring your own psyche by pushing your comfort zone.
Your Sun-sign Horoscope
A short guidance to help you through the week 😉
Aries: taking long walks by the sea or a pond will help calm home and family issues
Taurus: spiritual breakthrough is not always about what we gain, but what we let go
Gemini: skeletons in the family closet may be wanting to see the light of day; it’s fine
Cancer: work possibilities and impossibilities are all over the map; follow your bliss
Leo: you finally gain some recognition you deserve at work; hopefully, income, too
Virgo: the past months have been challenging, but unexpected relationships help out
Libra: partnerships are best quietly productive; yours needs some help to keep smooth

Scorpio: if you ever wanted to explore the mysteries of life and death, now’s the time — there’s a gentle hand upon you
Sagittarius: unexpected relationships bring work possibilities and even the chance of true friendship
Capricorn: home life is unsettled, but partnerships divine
Aquarius: the past is not a four letter word; it’s a stairway to heaven and a road to resolution
Pisces: the written word brings insight and recognition; the spoken word not so much

Dear friend and neighbour and fellow traveller;
Uranus into Gemini indicates an explosion in the the communications and information processing fields. Before you roll your eyes and ask, “What now, Uranus?” understand technology is not the issue; it’s the way we use technology that gets us into trouble. In the same way, the creative power within us can be used or misused — it’s always up to us.
In astrology, the creative process is a multi-planetary dance that involves a path drawn from the Sun’s authenticity where the creative power is first sparked and given to Jupiter (creative power), then carried to Mars (will) and expressed through Venus (manifestation). Even Saturn and Mercury who at first glance seem to have no role to play, are involved. Saturn paves the road and removes the obstacles and Mercury greases the gears of the intellect so creativity can be fully unfurled.
PART I: The Sun’s Role
The integrity of any process is only as robust as its weakest link. Given the intensity of our karmic map, in reality we may experience multiple failures. When the Sun is afflicted, we are disconnected from our true nature creating confusion about who we are. Such a person tends to wander through life rather than drive with confidence. They frequently change fields of study at the university or go from job to job not because they are inept; because they are bored. Finding satisfaction and contentment eludes them because their unconscious is steering them towards what is safe and comfortable rather than what is fulfilling and natural.
Fulfilment is a product of living true to our authentic nature. The afflicted Sun person lives behind a veil of delusion about who they are. They have assumed a false identity that is dominating their existence as a means to protect themselves from pain. This identity can take many forms and contains all the “I ams” that reverberate through the psyche. We can spend a lifetime attempting to prop up a false identity. Eventually, if we are fortunate, we come to the realisation that the heavy weight that suffocates us is our own doing and we seek a deeper answer through self-improvement and therapy. If we even more fortunate, we find answers through the grace and guidance of a spiritual master.
I worked with a young fellow in the ashram kitchen many years ago who had embraced a kind of gothic/punk identity since his teenage years. Personality wise, he was very intelligent, very kind, and quite unruffled. He had a high intensity position in the kitchen office, but in the ten years I knew him, I never saw him lose his cool. I was personally present when the guru commented that he was the only strong person in the kitchen. Being an athlete at the time, I knew she was not speaking about physical strength for his arms were like the legs of a chicken. She was speaking about his inner state. I took notice.
I never saw him wear any colour but black. He listened to heavy metal punk, kept his hair cut like a punk rocker, wore skull earrings, eye shadow, and a black leather jacket and boots. The question, of course, was not whether he was a punker. His outward appearance and lifestyle were not an issue for any of us nor should it have been. To the guru, of course, authenticity is not something we wear, but a state of being. The guru is not interested in what we we do but how we do it. If we are not being true to ourselves, eventually the guru’s fire of love will sandblast the false ideas and notions we have carried for an eternity.
After a year’s absence from the ashram, I could not believe the transformation that had occurred in not only his appearance but in his aloof, detached demeanour that somehow always seemed to be a form of self-protection. Now dressed in a sport coat and tie in shades of brown and tan, he was a first class executive. No makeup, no skulls, and no black leather. Married to one of the guru’s secretaries, he had a prestigious position in the ashram foundation. All this time, there had been another, more authentic fellow underneath the black clothes waiting to be expressed. He lived as Saturn, but became the Sun.
How does the Sun show its afflictions?
The Sun’s most powerful enemy is Ketu, but Ketu only afflicts the Sun if conjunct (in the same sign). When it is, the effects are like a cloud passing over the Sun and we have enormous trouble seeing who we really are. Ketu is the past, and its influence upon the Sun reveals profound trauma in previous lifetimes around expressing oneself authentically and living true to one’s nature.
In a similar vein, Saturn is the next most powerful enemy to the Sun. In Vedic mythology, Saturn is the son of the Sun who became inimical when the Sun and his court rejected Saturn because of his lack of brilliancy. In the Sun’s kingdom, Saturn plays a crucial role. Saturn is the castle, the fortified walls that offer protection and survival. Together, however, Saturn causes the Sun to focus on survival at the expense of the individual’s creative nature. In such individuals, you find them caught in an unfulfilling cycle where they feel they need to choose practicality over what truly fulfils them. These are the people you hear later in life regret “the other road” not taken. The other road was their true nature, but it was pushed aside “to pay the bills.”
Next up is Venus. Venus is an enemy to the Sun because its influence causes the Sun to believe that fulfilment comes not through fulfilling its destiny, but in helping others fulfil theirs. This is easy to see in couples where one of the two has turned away from their authentic nature to support the other. In essence, they allow the partner to become their Sun.
This does not need to only happen in a couple relationship. We give away our sun to friends, relatives, or work colleagues. Groupies and super fans are other extreme examples of how this dynamic manifests. In short, such people are living through someone else. As long as that someone is there to live through, they may sustain this dynamic for a while. Eventually, however, the other leaves, either by choice or by death. From the perspective of the Self, either way is a blessing as it offers a chance for the individual to finally live through their own volition.
As always, it’s much better to take our destiny out of the hands of Destiny. 😉

Warm thoughts and many blessings,
David 🙏🏻

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. – Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 – 1882), American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, minister, abolitionist, and poet who led the Transcendentalist movement
The many faces of strength
When you are feeling gentleness, what you are actually feeling is great strength within yourself…
When you are able to convey gentleness, when you are able to exhibit gentleness, when you are able to speak from gentleness, when you are able to act from gentleness, it removes fear. It removes fear in others, and it removes fear within yourself. It opens your heart.
Gurumayi Chidvilasananda (1955 — ) realised yogi, spiritual head of the Siddha Yoga path
Sure I am that this day, now, we are masters of our fate. That the task which has been set us is not above our strength. That its pangs and toils are not beyond our endurance. As long as we have faith in our cause, and an unconquerable willpower, salvation will not be denied us.”
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 – 1965) from a speech to the US Congress in 1943, delivered during World War II, was intended to strengthen the alliance between the United States and Great Britain and to express confidence in the Allied victory.

Invictus
BY WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

This week’s Astro Outlook
Uranus! Uranus! Uranus!
On the 25th, Uranus enters Gemini. Several months ago, Uranus took a quick dip into Gemini to give us a taste of what’s to come. The bottom line is that Uranus disrupts our cosy nest so as to awaken us to what is real, namely, what is real within us. On a broad scale, the next seven years will see more innovations in how we access, store, and use information. This will cause growing pains as not all of it will be benign. 6G anyone?
For the individual, we will see our desires become agents of transformation as what we seek is tested against a backdrop of instability in world affairs, institutions, and tradition. Uranus is like having an overload of electricity enter into the domains of our life ruled by Gemini… to get a quick idea, review your Sun-sign, below:
Uranus in Gemini according to your Sun-sign:
The following areas represent some of the the domains of life Uranus will activate through unexpected events and people according to your Sun-sign. Important: Uranus is fundamentally the force of your higher self yearning to express its authenticity. If you are not living authentically, Uranus will nudge you until you do. Uranus is your higher Self who believes in bestowing “tough love” when necessary. 😉
Aries: capacity to take calculated risks; personal goals, writing; performance (arts, etc)
Taurus: domestic situation; communication, wealth and possessions; language/speech
Gemini: health and vitality; self-image; career; public persona; spiritual philosophy
Cancer: spiritual path; expenses; solitude; study; charity, sexual pleasure; exotic travel
Leo: income; material gain; influential people; community involvement; life plans
Virgo: work and activity; status; interaction with government; recognition; spiritual retreat
Libra: teacher/guru/mentor; father; travel; animals; marriage framework; positivity
Scorpio: mysticism; shadow mind; death, debt; chronic illness; inheritance; libido; receiving
Sagittarius: relationship, sexuality, foreign stays and residence; partnerships
Capricorn: health and wellbeing; disease; debt; service work; obstacles; daily activities
Aquarius: creativity; children; problem solving; investments; love affairs; romance
Pisces: home, family, location; emotional expression; connection to the feminine; mother
Hint: If you know your Moon-sign and or Rising Sign (Ascendent), you can also refer to the above. What will change, will be the reference point. The Sun relates to self-image and self-worth so Uranus in the above signs will affect how you see yourself; the Moon relates to emotional stability and your capacity to use what is available to move ahead so Uranus in the above signs will affect your emotional mind and world view; the Ascendent relates to opportunities and challenges that manifest in your life in concrete ways so Uranus in the above signs will affect how your life unfolds in your situations and circumstance.
If you want a deeper analysis of Uranus in Gemini explicitly for your time of birth, I’m offering a special £49 one hour online session.
Only a child sees things with perfect clarity, because it hasn’t developed all those filters which prevent us from seeing things that we don’t expect to see.

Dear friend and neighbour and fellow traveller;
There is much wisdom to be found in children, oftentimes significantly more than what we find in adults. Here is a pearl I first heard in primary school from a very wise classmate:
You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose.
Though popularised in an 80s episode of Saturday Night Live on American television, its origins are unknown. Still, it’s the kind of wisdom that, once heard, ten-year olds store away for future use. The meaning is clear, we can choose our friends, but we don’t have control over what they think or do. Of course, there is also the socially inappropriate aspect of picking your friend’s nose, but we’ll save that for a later issue. 😄
